How do you add friends on youtube.com?

go to there profile and click add as friend (very bottom)

then should have a thing to select family or friends .

Go to the person's channel page (profile). In the "Connect with (username here)" box, click on the "Add as friend" link.

That should do it. The next thing is to wait till the person approve your friend request.
