The telecom company that carries most of Pakistan鈥檚 traffic, PCCW, has found it necessary to shut Pakistan off from the Internet while they filter out the malicious routes that a Pakistani ISP, PieNet, announced earlier today. Evidently PieNet took this step to enforce a decree from the Pakistani government that ISP鈥檚 must block access to YouTube because it was a source of blasphemous content.

It is all about control. If you control the means of communication then you control what the people think and do (George Orwell - 1984 sound familiar). Sorry to jump on a box but until people realized that they can think on there own and take responsibility for there own action we are going to have problems. Letting ANY religion tell you how to think is a bad recipe for disaster.
