For everyone having problems connecting to youtube and some other sites?

I have seen a lot of questions from people having problems accessing youtube. I have been having problems last 2 days. Now can get on there using a proxy site but getting message same as others either out of date flash player or javascript disabled.
ISP is AOL.
Using Netgear DG834g router
Problems with wired as well as wireless.
Using vista on 1 laptop and PC and xp on other laptop
Just installed Norton internet security 2008 on 2 vista machines but not on XP laptop
Same problems on all 3 machines

Please put here what problems you are having so that we can see if there is a common denominator here.

Have tried both IE7 and firefox.
Yes have got realplayer and divx

Ye, I have the same problems that you have, both with accessing youtube and other websites. I also have the same ISP and router and the problem started around Friday morning. I can only access youtube and other websites through a proxy server.

Hey Silver, a proxy server I've been currently been using is from www.l-tunnel.com and then in the box below type in the website you want to view.

im not, have you got realtime player, divx, veoh, and firefox?

try re-installing your browser. it's the easiest and fastest way to fix it....

Apparently if your ISP is AOL, you are likely to encounter the youtube.com issue, it is because AOL are doing a massive server changeover which includes the change of IP addresses and it has had a knock on effect with certain websites AOL customers want to visit, hopefully it will be fixed soon...

I have exactly the same setup AOL Silver on Netgear DG834g and also having problems the last 2 days, seems the gent above must be right in that its AOL moving servers or whatever thats causing the problem.

How do I do this proxy trick you's mention to visit sites I need that are not working until AOL sorts this ? thanks

have the same problem...but only on my wireless computer.
On the wired computer, i can only go on youtube from the AOL browser software not firefox or IE. ISP AOL.

i'm having the same problem using Firefox and I.E too. i've tried reinstalling Firefox and changing the DNS addresses but it still doesn't work.
however, i can reach youtube with no problems using AOL 9.0 VR
odd.
