Video for YouTube?

I have Windows Vista Home Edition. I made a trailer on the Windows Movie Maker and the only file I can save ot as is Windows Movie Maker Project. YouTube wouldn't allow my file to be on it. I tride it with Powerpoint as well.

My laptop is the only internet provider in this house.

Yea, use Windows movie maker is a free and easy way, but you can not retain animations transitions and audio track that a really PowerPoint should have. Your presentation will be a dull thing.
So here I recommend you use some professional tool like Acoolsoft PPT2YouTube.

Before converting, please put the music and the PowerPoint in the same folder, in a word, everything in the same folder to make sure you PowerPoint on YouTube with animations, transitions and audio track retained.

You have to publish the video (turn it into a windows media video)

Download prism video converter. It's free and works with WMV. All you do is add your video file, make the finished format "avi" and hit convert. -youtube doesn't allow wmv files.

i am not familiar with movie maker, but try this
open the file with movie maker
click save as
in the pop up give the file a new name, and see if there is a drop menu arrow in the file type box. See if you can select the type for u tube,

You tube will allow only file of 100MB in size or less to upload.

1. First of all copy the video file in camera to the computer and edit with windows movie maker.
2. Next go to: http://www.youtube.com/signup and create an account in youtube..
3.After that u log in to youtube, click on the "My Account" link on the top right corner of the window near your account name..
4. There will be an "Upload New video" button. Click on it.
5. Two steps need to be done.. First you have to fill in the details about the video you are going to upload such as title, description, tags etc.. Tags describe what your video is about. Fill in the details..
6. Set the various options to their default..
7. Click "Upload Video".
8. Then you will be shown a browse box. Click on "browse" and navigate to the folder where you have copied the video file in step 1. Select the file and click ok..
9. Thats it..Now wait for Youtube to upload to it..It takes around 10 mins depending on your connection speed and length of the video. After uploading video

After you make your movie you save it to your computer and if you want it real clear there is a setting when you save it to your computer and I like 512 for broadband it is in a little drop down box then when you want to put it on youtube it will go just make sure its not too big of file.teh save to my computer is right under finished movie
