Well, i have two problems, one, when i try get youtube up on internet explorer, it says:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.

When i am using youtube on my AOL i have no sound =(

What can i do to get sound?

No the computers sound is not on mute, because sound works on bebo.

I downloaded FireFox, it now says;

Okay, Internet Explorer and AOL are both horrible browsers. The problem you're experiencing could be caused by a variety of issues, but lets eliminate them all in one blow =].

Download Firefox:

It's the best browser out there, and much easier to use, and your problems should be solved. If not, we know that it's not directly connected to IE or AOL, and we can diagnose it from there.


@ Anime. Obviously, you're wrong. The entire site is not loading, and even if he didn't have Flash, the mainpage would still show up, just without the flash extensions- so a lot of stuff wouldn't work, but it would still show up...

It looks like your firewall is blocking Youtube, lets see if this is the case. I'm assuming you're using XP.

Go to Control Panel > Security Center > Manage Security Settings For: Windows Firewall > Off

Hmm. That's very odd. I'm sorry this is taking so long to find a solution, but since I can't actually do anything on your computer myself, it's quite difficult to diagnose the problem.

Let's try something simple.

I don't have Vista, so these steps might not be exactly how to do it, but I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Go to Control Panel and navigate you way to "Network Connections". You'll see icons and all your connections.

If you're using WiFi, right click that connection and click "repair", If you're using a LAN connection, right click that, and click "repair". Get what I'm saying?

Hmm, Johnny may be right- Youtube may be having problem's with its servers.

What I meant with repairing your internet connection is doing this (you can also do it from your desktop):

Then my guess is that the Youtube server you're trying to access is experiencing problems.

Try it through a proxy (hidemyass.com) and see if it works. Your problem is baffling me xD

in youtube, you didn't install a flash player

For the last few days there has been a problem with aol users connecting to youtube.com, at least on AOL UK. I don't know about other countries. I currently can't connect either. I couldn't connect for 6 hours yesterday, it came back late last night. There is one way of getting around it. Connect via a proxy website http://www.freeproxies.org/ I'm using Vtunnel.com now to watch videos. You can't reply to messages though.

Look at the video on YouTube...check the video's sound bar..is the sound level on the video way up or muted??
Can you hear music or video from other sites besides YouTube??
Sounds like Firefox needs access from your firewall or your connection is lost

1. Use Opera browser, it will load faster and smoother, and re-install latest flash.

get the latest flash player, and install it.. make sure all the browsers are NOT running during installation...

OR..

2. It could be due to slow connection or high traffic.
Try watching it during off peak hours, the video will be smoother.

Or you could watch it offline... try using 'zillatube' .

It works well - Just yahoo or google search "zillatube" to get it.
