What will happen to my channel if I change from "youtuber" to "director"?

I see this, and I'm not sure what it means.
"Changing your Channel type will delete the channel's Performer Info data.You will need to re-enter that information by going to the Performer Info page."
Will any of my videos be deleted if I do this??? Or what?

Not much. A tiny banner saying "Director" will appear under you profile image and you will be able to enter details about your career and such. It will let people know that you are the creative mind and create more than just average videos. It used to be that you had to apply to be a director and you would also be allowed to upload any size or length videos. Now anyone can be a director but you still have to apply to upload larger videos.

Here's the catch: any of the videos you create must never infringe copyright, be completely original and be not use trademarks, be very inappropriate, yada ya, you get the point.

And no, your videos won't be deleted.

dont listen to that guy. i changed mine from youtuber to comedian and nothing happens. when it says performer info might be deleted dont worry about that. youtuber accounts dont have any performer info. you enter the performer once you change your account type

u get a wider variety of choices to customize your account. and a greater chance of being on the featured list.

it just means that personal info will be deleated
