How do I upload a video over 10 minutes to YouTube?

I made a 11 and a half minute video I'm trying to upload to YouTube, and it wouldn't work. It stayed on the uploading screen forever. I need to know how I can upload it! Thank you so much for any help.

The video is called Gears of War: The Experience, and it's about...Gears of War the video game. I am already a director and the max is still 10 mins. I read about YouTube uploader and it says with that I can upload a 1gb sized video, but it still can't be 10 minutes. I'd rather not split the video into 2 parts if I don't have to.

There are 2 ways to do this problem:
1. You can split the video in half, uploading one part and then the another part.
2. If your video is more than 100 Megabytes there is this uploader that will make you upload for than 100 Megabytes. Look for it after you click the upload button. It should be around the page.

What is the video about? There are limits of time depending on what the video is about.

The limit for music videos, clip shows, slideshows is 10 minutes.

If it's an instructional video, an interview, sports related, popular subject of great interest, movie, tv show, the limit is higher.

It can also have to do with content, for example, very vulgar or gory videos might not be accepted. or if you're trying to pirate something, it won't be allowed.

it could also make a difference in the format used; avi, realplayer, quicktime, flash, windows movie maker, mpeg

When making your account, instead of using the Standard option, change it to Director. You can change it by going to your account details.
