Can you upload flv videos to youtube? if not how do you convert them ?

I don't know all that other stuff. But converting, yeah. Use http://zamzar.com/url and follow the step-by-step instructions. Be sure to use the avi. format, though. Just copy the link of the YouTube video, choose the format(which I showed you), type your email address. and convert the video. Then they'll send the link to download the video. NO SOFTWARE NEEDED! AT ALL! YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO SIGN UP!!!

WinFF is the best software that I've gotten for this, I make videos and have to convert them to and from .flv all the time to .wmv or the file extension of your choice.

WinFF is free and works like a charm. Clips come out in pretty good condition.

you need to convert it into video format supported by youtube such as mpg, mp4, etc..

No, YouTune doesn't accepts flv video, you have to convert your flv video to avi or mpeg video at first, then you can upload it. You may try aimersoft video converter, it can convert flv video to avi or mpeg video, my friends recommend it to me, it's not free, but it works really nice for me, here is a guide about it

YouTube accepts video files from most digital cameras, camcorders, and cell phones in the .WMV, .AVI, .MOV, and .MPG file formats.
maybe you need to get a flv converter to convert flv to these video file format, and youtube just accepts video below 100mb and 10mins
