New YouTuber, any suggestions for uploading faster, etc.....?

I attempted to upload a video, it was only about 2 minutes of footage from my digital camera. YouTube said it would take 5 minutes per megabyte. We never received any conformation that it finished uploading, and now it is not there. Is it normally this unsophisticated, or did I do something wrong? Can you please explain to me how to upload a 2 minute video?

Try VideoPut. Is a tool for uploading videos to the internet.
Currently, you can upload videos to YouTube. With VideoPut you can upload videos in more comfortable way instead of uploading via your web browser. Usually even much more faster. If you have a lot of videos which you want to post to YouTube or other video website but don't want to spend so much time uploading them in this case VideoPut is just for you. If you have bad internet connection and want to upload big files it would be a real pain to do that via web broswer, with VideoPut it will be much more easily and more faster.

You need to click Upload in the top right fill out the info then click Uplode video and then find it then click uplode.

As far as speed gos you must have DSL Most digital camcorders use what they call MOV formating and some times Utube wont exept it for what ever reson. but if you come back and try it the folling day it works. You were doing it right with a 2 min video it should take betwean 5 and 10 min

well a two minute video can take about 15 minutes to upload depending on quality.

I have alot of videos on youtube and experienced the same frustration.

plus the time it takes afterwards to approve the content is just crazy.
