Why isnt a video uploading on you tube?

my windows media player does not work so i use VLC media player i went on a site called media pirate and put the url in then downloaded file when it was finished it doesent come up with a VLC icon wich looks like a cone it came up with one of those open a file with..then i uploaded that and its not going its just taking hours..

The answer above me is a copy cut and paste off the the only question she ever asked!

Try getting an update for your windows media player.

Remove what ever has installed on your machine and download the genuine VLC from http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

By the way when you are watching a youtube video it is downloading. Uploading is when you post a video on Youtube.
