how do u download and covert youtube clps so that u can re-edit them on windows movie maker? and please could u take me through the complete steps becuase i seem to be an idiot with this stuff.

STEP by STEP process:

Go to http://www.zamzar.com/url/ free, no sign up, no software.

1)copy and paste the address (URL) of the video.
2)Choose the file format as .wmv (because this is what "windows media player" accepts)
3) Your E-mail address (don't worry they wont give you any spam)
4) click on convert, and then "yes". And wait for it to download.

After about 5-10min check your E-mail, and open the one from "zamzar". Click on the link they give you and "download". Save it to your disk (computer). And you now have your youtube video.

Then open "Windows movie maker" and click on "import video", find your youtube video, and you then have it to custimize on windows movie maker.

I downloaded the latest version of Real Player the other day and now every time you view a YouTube video it offers you the option to download it. Once it is downloaded and saved i presume you can then import it into Windows Movie Maker, edit it, export it and then plonk it back on YouTube if you want.

Matthew is partially correct.. You can download the videos from Realplayer.. However. You will need to convert them to the avi format or a format that MovieMaker can use. Do a yahoo search for youtube downloaders. They generally have the ability to not only download your videos from youtube.. but convert them to a usable format.

and paste them in the vdownloader
