How do i convert a dvd into windows movie maker so i can make a vid, and how do i convert that vid for youtube

This is a long and fully explained answer :)
There is a couple of steps you will need to take.

You will first need to "rip" the DVD.
I recommend "DVD Shrink" (free download here)>>

(NOTE: You don't need to burn the DVD to another disc)
After you have used "DVD Shrink" to rip the files. You will than have to convert the .VOB files into something that "Windows movie maker" accepts. (like .WMV)

There are lots of different vidoe converter programs but the best is "Total vidoe converter". Download here>>

(NOTE: its only free to try, if you want the full thing you will have to buy it).

Now that you have "Total video converter" convert the video to .WMV and then open "Windows movie maker"

Once your in "Windows movie maker" click on "import video" and Browse for your .WMV file (the one off the DVD). Play arround with it and custimize it as you wish. Then go "file>>save movie file>>save to computer>>name it>>give location of file>> and save. (it will save it as .WMV which is what youtube accepts).

Now, we're getting close to the end now. lol
If you dont already have a youtube account, you will have to make one by going to the site, clicking on "Sign up" and fill in the deatails.

Then click "Upload" fill in the details, Browse for your video and upload. Have fun

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

Your video must be shorter than 10min.
And smaller than 100mb (single unloader)

Get a converted first (google is the best way)
Then you can edit your video even with Windows movie maker and make it smaller than 100MB and less than 10 minutes. Then go sign up (If you haven't already) and upload it.Be sure that the file type is .Avi , .Mov , .Wmv or .Mpg because youtube can't recognize some types of videos.
