YouTube accepts a wide range of video file formats such as .WMV, .AVI, .MOV, FLV and .MPG transferred from most digital cameras, camcorders, and cell phones. For more info, u can visit http://www.google.com/support/youtube/bi...
However, Youtube does not accept SWF file. If u want to upload SWF file to youtube, i think you have to use some swf to video converter to convert swf to avi, mpeg, mov, flv, etc video format, and then upload them to youtube.

I always upload .avi or .flv and it works for me. I try to keep my video's Frames around 25 or 30. The maximum length a video can be is 10 minutes, although I've seen other videos on there that are more than that (not sure how they were able to upload the videos though) Hope this helps =)

youtube accepts avi, wmv, mp4, mpeg, etc. It doesn't accept flv or swf. you can convert flv to mp4, mpeg or wmv with Moyea FLV to Video Converter. Search it in google, hope this will help you.
