Need help with YouTube Please!?

I don't get how my page, the downloading and uploading works.

I know how to download and upload but my page doesn't look like anyone else's! When I view videos the pages are white and they have a play list on the right and a video screen and comment section on the left.

But my page is more like a regular Webpage:

All of the videos that I have are in separate boxes with the video coming through not a play list.

I don't have any of my own videos I'm not that far advanced with the computer and can't see myself ever being that advanced either, but I thought if I saw a video that I liked I could somehow download it to my computer or something like like that and then upload it to my page...if my page looked like everyone else's! Or do I have to make my own video to do that?

Can anyone give me a little help with this...I feel sooooo stupid!

I do know that it is purple, I made it purple, but I thought that other than being purple it would look like all of the other pages I've seen on YouTube, I've never seen a page that is like mine with more than one player.

Your page is always going to look different when you are signed in. As far as uploading, its fairly self explanatory. You just click the upload button and the file search will let you tell them where your video is at. There is an extensive help section there for any answer like what file type and how big should my video be.
