How do you make a youtube channel icon?

I made a video but i couldnt use it on Youtube once it was on.

you don't need to use videos anymore, youtube now allow picture uploads for your channel icon

to get a channel icon do the following:
-go to http://uk.youtube.com/my_profile_persona...
- upload an image you want for a channel icon
-update channel info

it can come up relatively quickly but give it about 6 hours to show up
