So we made a music video (starring me) with my friend and she helped me edit it really well. Orginally, we weren't going to put it on youtube, so I have my full name (first and last) in the credits, then we decided it came out sooo good so we out it on youtube is the fact that I have my last name there bad??

Well there are two ways to use the net, semi-anonymous and as yourself. If you're trying to do the former you've obviously blown that to bits.

Nah, I had my profile page about myself (name, date of birth, city, past experiences) before. Nothing will happen with just the name, there is probably hundreds/thousands of people with the same name as you. Don't worry. If you are really concerned, take down the video and then edit it to remove the name.

no. don't worry. most people won't see it. i bet its cool though! aslo their are over 1,000,000 videos on youtube and 500,000 of those have last names and first names in them.

There is nothing wrong with putting your first and last name on a piece of work that you made. In fact, it may end up being beneficial for you in the long run to sign your work if it ends up being a big hit.

Just don't put your phone number, social security number, or credit card number on the Internet. That is where the real problems start cropping up.

Shouldn't you be putting that effort into you school work so you can finally come home and show you parents your report card instead of hiding it in your room and then waiting for the school to call saying that report cards were sent home, then deleting the caller ID showing that the school look like it never called....Hey wait, shouldn't you be in school right now!!!!

I wouldn't have thought so, as long as there is nothing in the video that helps identify the neighbourhood you live in (or you have a really uncommon name), it's unlikely anybody would take any notice. If you're really worried, take it off youtube, edit it and put it back on.

Well, its not REALLY bad, but it could cause problems if you ha ve enemies or stalkers. so be wary of that.
