How is Wikipedia funded?

How does Wikipedia stay running? There are no ads on it, and it's free to use, so how does it afford to pay its employees, etc?

they get them from sponsers. like the people they have articles about. people also donate money to wikipedia.

i dont think it has employees. i think, im not sure, but i think people can just post stuff on wikipedia. most of the information in in acurate, my teachers forbid me to use it.

There is a way for people to donate to Wikpedia. You can go to "interaction" and choose "donate to wikipedia".

maybe through donations through paypal. It's an encylopedia written BY the normal people and maintained by them. Therefore, seen as everyone is a volunteer, they dont have anything to pay for
