Wikipedia?? |
is wikipedia a good information source?? are they always telling the truth Roughly 95% correct, Wikipedia is a good source. They don't always tell the truth though. Usually, an editor puts random, but wrong information on the page. The edits are reverted though, but not all of them are. Sometimes, people just forget to fix the information. I love wikipedia- a lot of it is true, but it is the internet and people do add things themselves, so don't believe everything they say A very wise man once said All my professors in college say its not a reliable source because anyone can upload the information about any topic. So we wont know if its true or not. They don't allow me to use it. So I will say no. Its alright but not the best since anyone can change information on it if its approved by others. They do their best to keep it accurate but it is hard to police every entry for lies and silliness I think most thing are, or pretty close (if that counts). I think you can use Wikipedia to start off and then double check the things you find on there to see if they are true. They arent allways telling the truth. There might be some errors as date of birth or so. But research has proven that wikipedia can be trusted as much as the Encyclopedia Brittanica, so it's a good information source. However, you should allways console 2 sources or more. at my school we are not alowed to site wikipedia because its not considered a credible source..becaause anyone can just add random stuff to it..so i would say no not a vaild source Wikipedia is really helpful... has helped me find a lot of info for school n that.. No. I always find many mistakes there. There are many bad articles. Anyone can post false information there. It's more reliable than going on Yahoo Answers and asking whether it's reliable or not. well alot of it is true but then again i like to edit articles on wikipedia (especially the platypus page) and i just do i to be funny not to b truthful so no u probly shoudlnt use for anything important like a homework assginment or stuff like tht |
