Is Wikipedia a real online encyclopedia?

Hi, I'm doing research paper for my science class, and i have to cite my sources. So, when doing the citation for a Wiki page I used, do I make it in the form of a website or an online encyclopedia?

Either way, there's no author which is odd

can any1 let me know what kind of citation style I should use??

First check with your teacher to see if that is a reliable source. For somethings that are more opinion and not hard fact it might be ok.

Just quote it as you would quote a website: the official name, URL and the date accessed. Use copywrites and authors if it's available.

well wikipedia is not the best source!! because people put their own answers for questions. so some people could be putting right answers and some wrong

and some schools don't allow wikepidia

i don't really use wikipedia, but maybe some schools allow it

yes, but anyone can editi it so, use a real BOOK encyclopedia if you want the be sure of accuarcy

Wikipedia is run be volunteers they dont give u guarantee that is info is right . But they do do have a systems that monitors the entries of the articles . More reliable resources are answers.com, and the dictionaries !
