Why wikipedia uses different spelling Chinese names from pinyin? |
Why? Why don't wiki just use the spelling that Chinese use for Chinese names Because Wikipedia is used internationally, not just by a specific country. So obviously, they usually have to put the name in different formats (pinyin, traditional, and simplified Chinese). Most articles that I have seen include Pinyin along with the traditional Chinese. |
