WIkipedia pictures?

How do you put up pictures on wikipedia, it didnt work for me when i tired to put it up for a cartoon character

ok well, i was on wikipedia and i had no idea on how 2 add the pictures on 2 it, i even have an account

First, you need to log in. Then from the menu on the left (under the blank) select upload file. Browse your computer and upload the file you wish to. This will also give you several choices as to where the picture came from. You will need to rename the file as well as describe where it came from.

Then when you go to the edit page, change the file name to whatever you named your .jpg. i.e... if you named your file divix.jpg, then change whatever the current image is to divix.jpg. You can do a 'show preview' to make sure the picture is the correct one.

So if the coding is: Image=Caption.jpg
Change it to: Image=divix.jpg
