Why does Wikipedia discourage trivia sections?

It's probably my favorite part!

Trivia sections in Wikipedia are discouraged for a few reasons. One is that trivia sections often have misleading information. Another is that the article is "supposed" to be focused ONLY on its title topic, and trivia oftens trails off. Although trivia may be fun to read (I love it too!), it is discouraged by the fun-sucking creators of Wikipedia.

Happy protesting!

It is not really constructive in my opinion. You don't see "actual" encyclopedias giving a trivia section....
