How come there aren't lawsuits floating around all about wikipedia with regards to how much it is vandalized?

I am always hearing of lawsuits being filed for defamation and libel. Well wikipedia has got loads of defamation and libel I'm sure, with random people vandalizing pages. I am sure if you went on Martin Lawrence's or another celebrity page for example, they could go through the history and find something like someone talking about how they are rapist and raped their families. Well isn't that libel and can't celebrities and the people being libeled sue wikipedia or somebody. I mean, if u ask me, wikipedia oughta be held accountable if they can't identify the people getting away with such behavior and if they can well then the person could sue. But maybe there are a bunch of lawsuits that take place between celebrities and people and I just don't know about it. Are there? Does wikipedia get sued a lot do other people? I mean, wikipedia oughta be getting their butts sued by just about everybody

Since Wikipedia is pretty much a community run site, they can't be held responsible for the information posted on the site.

As for people who vandalise the pages ... tracking people down who leave no more than an ip or user name would be difficult, and probably not worth the cost incurred.
