How do I insert pictures when I am editing a wikipedia page?

First, you need to log in. Then from the menu on the left (under the blank) select upload file. Browse your computer and upload the file you wish to. This will also give you several choices as to where the picture came from. You will need to rename the file as well as describe where it came from.

Then when you go to the edit page, change the file name to whatever you named your .jpg. i.e... if you named your file divix.jpg, then change whatever the current image is to divix.jpg. You can do a 'show preview' to make sure the picture is the correct one.

So if the coding is: Image=Caption.jpg
Change it to: Image=divix.jpg

Good luck and I hope this helps.

uhhhhhh. submit pic? I'll get back to ya. sorry

I'm not sure...i've never used wikipedia because my instructors won't give credit for it because it's not valid and it's full of misconceptions.

Click on the little image button on the toolbar when editing (The 4th button over from the right) or if it is an embedded image click the 6th button over from the left.

Hi-lite the picture and copy and paste into the page.

If you look at the editing page, there's a bunch of tool buttons at the top before all the content is displayed.

One on the far right is for adding pictures, it looks sort of like a picture frame itself.

click on edit this page, then click on insert a picture!
