My question is, what is the general opinion about Wikipedia? |
I realize it's a vast online encyclopedia whatever. Sometimes I think it's too...wild or something. Not sure...at all Wikipedia honestly amazes me. It's a great source of information, but I find it very interesting how it actually works. How any anonymous person can make changes to it, but somehow the site still stays functional without all the entries being turned to jibberish by morons. With the kind of people that would want to screw up something like that, it really is amazing that it works. I use it quite a bit and the information is usually 99% accurate. Full of decent information, but not to be trusted, since it's got a fair amount of misinformation as well. Nobody vets the submissions for truth, accuracy, opinion stated as fact, etc. In a recent study, Wikipedia was found to be just as accurate, if not more, than Encyclopedia Britannica. wikipedia is a good website i use it all the time the only problem is that the definitions can be edited like i searched sorrow and it said another word for dog so i wuldnt always trust it |
