Is it illegal to wikivandalise? |
And by wikivandalise I mean erase article and stuff? No, it is not illegal. They can, and will, block any IP address from further access that is found violating it's terms of service, which includes vandalizing articles. yes it is. its considered malicious destruction of property. not really. you cant erase it anyway, they just upload it later from their databanks. Probably not. i just want to say you are the first person that i know of to use the word. fight the power! Wikivandalise..haha..i like the term, but no it isn't illegal, they just change it back to the way it was. They'll probably ban you though. Nope, bots already have the data saved if you cheese an article, and the bots have malfunctioned if a wikivandalized article (with everything erased) lasts 2 seconds. However, you can get IP banned for doing so. It's easy to reverse malicious changes, and it'll doing it will only get you ip banned. It's probably not illegal, but Wikipedia will probably boot ya out for destroying their wonderful property (they'll probably just re-upload it again after that, too). |
