In WIKIPEDIA, what is the difference between GO and SEARCH ? No major difference both have the same meaning which is to execute a search; kind of like on some microwaves there's a "go" and a "start" button. There is no Difference.... WIKIPEDIA is just being dumb. LOL same thing. example:look at the top of yahoo awnsers home page.theres a place where u can seach for questions.u click "GO" will take you to the direct page, if it's on wikipedia. brian is right Well, Go, will take you to the direct page if there is one, but Search, shows you things in that category. In a perfect world, Go would take you right to that article, so if you misspelled something, you'd get a blank page. But as it stands, misspell anything on Wikipedia and you're screwed, so no, there's really not much difference. Go takes you directly to an article with that name if it exists. Search takes you to a set of search results. If no article exists with that name, they both do the same thing. GO will take you to the direct page Both are for searching. same meaning.search means go ,go means search.like start. There is no difference between the two. They are just two terms for the same thing. Like 'Standby' and 'Low Power', they don't mean anything different. "GO" directs you to the exact page that you want to go to (if there is not an exact match then it goes to the most closely related article). When you click "GO", it will put you directly to the article while "Search" gives some similar articles nothin not much. Go is directly to page, search is to look for matching pages |
