Editting on Wikipedia , I accidently edited a band page?

Will I get in trouble or something? I was just testing if the edit would work and it did.

if you get an email or something complaining then just apologize and explain what happened. Don't freak out because i doubt you'll even get that email.

You are *supposed* to make edits: that is the point -- Wikipedia is created by ordinary people.

The design makes it easy to 'revert' to previous edits, too. You could go back to that article, and look at the button at the top of the page marked "history", right next to "edit this page".

If you click on "history", you'll see the complete edit history of that page (or at least the first page's worth).

Each edit is shown with:
* the date,
* the user that made the edit,
* the number of characters in the article,
* a short comment describing the edit, and
* the option to 'undo' that edit.

Many folks that make these edits aren't registered (as you probably aren't), in which case the username is just the user's IP address.

If no one has made any edits since yours, try clicking on the 'undo' button. If that doesn't work, don't worry about it too much: other folks will fix the mistake -- it happens all the time.

Next time when testing what works or not go on the Sandbox on wikipedia

But if you have added information and it is fine that is alright as you are suppose to edit Wikipedia to improve it.

Has the edit you made already been reverted? You can click the "history" tab to see the changes made to the article. If it hasn't been reverted, then you can revert it yourself using the [undo] link. If you're not able to do that, you can leave a message on the help desk at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:H... asking someone to help you with this.

naw tehy send an email nxt time on wiki.. i do it loadz of time s noew i banned from editing lolzzz
