I am an artist and I am interested in getting my information & biography onto wikipedia. how do I go about it?

Just want my information to pop up for folks searching wikipedia regarding my name and music.

I am not here to expose myself..just looking for assistance..I have tried wikipedia once before and everything was erased...I am now thinking of setting up a service for artist who want to get onto wikipedia because the process is indie biased..

Make sure you meet the notability guidelines or your page will be deleted quickly. Also get someone else to do it for you or else you will be accused of writing vanity articles and they will be speedied.

Note: The Wiki software itself is free; if you want to start your own service, you can do so. See http://nethack.wikia.com for an attempt to do so for the game Nethack. You can do the same if you like. Might be easier than trying to manipulate Wikipedia for your needs.

i think you need to be really really famous first.. or just go and write about yourself and it will turn up.. hey its open source.. :)

Who are you, by the way? If you think you're going to be up-and-coming, then you should at least reveal yourself to us should we help you.

and follow the instructions. When you write the article, make sure you put in links to outside websites that talk about you, including your own.

Do note that you'll have to meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines or they won't include your article.

then you can enter topic and details in wikipedia
