How do you make a new page/article/description on Wikipedia?

How do you? I wanna add something thats not already on there.

1. Type the article you wish to create.

2. Click "Search" for the easy way, "Go" for the hard way. (trere isnt any differnce only you can create on go 'cause in wont.. Continued on step 3.)

3. See if the link "Create A Page" pops up.

4. Click it.

5. After clicking it, type the article.

6. Sure its real? be sure. it will get deleted if its not.

You have to be registered to create a new article. Of course, you should read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Y... first to make sure that the article you want to add is suitable for Wikipedia.

2. If article not available

wikipedia show:

No page with that title exists.

You can create this page or request it.


Click "create this page" for create new article

First you need to create an acocunt if you haven't done so, because you can't create a new article without one.

Next, you need to type the name of the article you are starting in the search box. If nothing comes up, it should read as 'there is article here' and give you the option of starting one. Click on the link it provides and start the article.

Create an account and than type in the edit box.
