Who decides things on Wikipedia?

When you "wikipedia" Newsweek Magazine it says in the article that it usually takes a Progressive stance on most issues. Did some guy drinking a beer in Alabama put that in there by himself or did Wikipedia do some research on it and put it in there. I think it also says US News & WR tends to be more on the conservative side on most issues. Cause well I thought Wikipedia wasn't suppose to make decisions on this sort of thing.

There is a board of experts, a community of knowledge if you will, that may allow competing theories to be explained for comparison but that will be noted at the banner that this article has some disputed conclusions and/or this site needs to be "cleaned up". If the notation at the bottom of the page is resourced, as they all are, you can bet your bippy that it has been checked by authoritative experts.

Now having said that; from time to time some smart--- will enter something on the "Moby Dick" page that doesn't belong, but they are usually reported quickly and deleted.

I've found that if it starts getting fuzzy check the sources on the bottom for the original quote. It helps if you have a basic knowledge of many subjects. You can smell a rat and spot it almost every time.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say thank you to all of those who've supported me in this and all of my endeavors.
Good luck and best wishes, Spike. Report It

No one really. I could go on there and put whatever I want, if I so wanted to.

everyone, mostly profeccors from colleges

Basically, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that has a policy that it will take a "Neutral point of view". If multiple reputable sources can be sourced as saying something, than something can be considered generally regarded as that--

For example, if Newsweek is regarded on multiple third party sources (not some committee within Wikipedia), as being "progressive", than that can be added to the article. If someone finds that to be contriversial, however, they can discuss this for change on the article's "Talk" page.

On the contrary, if someone were to make an edit that said "YOU SUCK", or "Newsweek has been frequently questioned by the American Society of Drunken Alabamens", it can probably be removed immediately, as it is blatant vandalism...

I'd say that tierd guy that made wikipedia
