What do you make of wikipedia? |
What do you make of wikipedia? It can be helpful at times. Sometimes if searching for something generally it can be difficult to find the answer u need. Better if you search for your topic on a different search engine then click the link. But you have to be in mind that info is submitted by users so it isn't exactly 100% accurate. When I went on a New York Yankee page(not to say i like them, Im a Red Sox fan) at the end it said Yankees Suck. its cool. ithink it will be printed on rubber pages ,the way the truth in some entries is stretched. not bad for saying its written by users You can't rely on it as certain fact, but I find it to be a very useful guide. Its One Bigggg Brain! Can be useful, but as has already been said, it's only the opinion of the person who posted the item, and is often incorrect. I like it, it's an excellent source of information. Quite honestly, all the people who say it's not reliable because anyone can edit it just don't know what they're talking about. 95% of the time you can tell the crap apart from the real information with no trouble at all. absolutely wikid It's handy but can be inaccurate. I use it when for looking at things out of general interest, but not for academic work. It can be useful but don't believe everything you read... I think its great, helps me with all my essays but you have to be careful incase things are inaccurate very cool A great place!!!!! its a good site but u do have to be careful extremely great I think the site is extremely reliable. I've been using it for a year now (not just once in a while, like multiple times everyday) and there's not much that I have found unbelievable. Most made up things are easily distinguished. Like when Sonny Moore left his band From First to Last, if you searched one of them (I forget) the page had a sentence of blatant opinion bashing Sonny for leaving. And that didn't even stay on very long. It's all quite reliable and there are only a few instances where things are made up and happen to be there when you're reading (a lot is deleted quickly). It is good for the basic info but not for the bluk of it. |
