Why is wikipedia greather than anything ever seen on the internet?

More than 1,000,000, it's over 2,000,000 now. It is one of the top 8 websites on the internet, and while it does have a lot of information, an interactive community, a open-content website, it does have it's faults. It does have a lack of factual accuracy, which plagues the site and is what most critics from the media pick on first. And then there is a bureaucracy of administrators which is the most criticized thing from on-lookers of the site, which tends to get out of hand sometimes. Overall, I think there are problems that need to be fixed, but for the most part, I trust Wikipedia as an encyclopedia, first and foremost.

They have every information a searcher needs because they dig deep into the every world and unearth the secrets hidden and unlock to share and let others know.

it isn't greater than _anything_ ever seen on the internet. it isn't greater than the WWW, which is something seen on the internet.

However, any project which attempts to organize the efforts of a large group of volunteers to provide help to people is an impressive achievement. Other great projects would be google, project gutenberg, sourceforge, slashdot

they took info from alot of encyclopedias and people can add articles all the time which makes it the encyclopedia that has ever had the most knowledge ever.

Well, it's the biggest encyclopedia ever. 1 000 000+ articles and counting. That's pretty great.

Also, getting the millions of users to work together in a constructive (mostly) way is fairly great, too.

It's the best information source even though they allow people to edit informations freely. it's not a very good thing to let people edit it and make it wrong
