Anyone know where I can find a simple tutorial on editing wikipedia pages?

I need a quick reference guide on how to add text, photos and links to pages on wikipedia

To edit a Wikipedia article, just click the "edit this page" button at the top of the article! Anyone can edit any article. Unless it's protected.

To add text, just type it in. To add photos, you must first ensure that the image you want to add is uploaded to Wikipedia. No external photos can be added to an article. Upload photos at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Upl... and add them into articles, once uploaded, using:

Replace IMAGENAME with the name of the image and EXTENSION with the file extension, such as gif, jpg, or png.

To add links to other pages on Wikipedia, simply type:

Text the link says (optional)

Name of article refers to the name of the article as seen at the top of the page or in the URL. The text is what the link will say. If you typed US, the text "US" will appear on the page and will link to the United States article.

To link to a page not on Wikipedia, type:

[URL Text]

For example, Google will display "Google" that links to google.com.

If u just wanna dive in, use templates that others often leave behind for incomplete entries. If those aren't available, try copy+pasting the material from the same article, leave the structure and formatting intact, but then change the content as u see fit. Also, use the preview button to experiment on how things will look and what does what. Unless u wanna get into the nitty-gritty of wiki, basic edits shouldn't really require a tutorial.

have a blast wiki-ing!
