I really, really need help on this!?

please me and my family are trying to set up my laptop to an internet conection. We have Wifi and my laptop is a Sony Vio, which i recently purchased from Best buy. Well we cannot figure out on how to get a connection going. Please i need help! Btw i have a wireless router and it from Zonet, is it compatable with Windows Vista?

Well, firstly does this laptop have a built in Wireless network interface card? If so your card should be able to locate your router and connect to it (you will have to enter the password and user name to the network if you made on) Try to locate the The wireless device on your laptop and when you find it try to do a manual search and then double click on your network (whatever it's name may be) I must say I can't really give more advice as you did not give me any specs on that system.

call the Internet company and ask them for tech support and ask them that's what i did and it worked right now I'm on my laptop

contact a networking personel he will solve your problem.
