Cpu usage lowering?

how can u reduce application CPU usage? i mean, is there a way to modify the kernel of xp to get more perfomance out of it?

i did some modification on the kernle but got only
"visual" fastering, such as windows open and close time and things like it, i need somethign more

I understood form your question that you want to free up CPU usage. Well you could do that by going over to Services in Administrative Tools in Control Panel, and removing the unnecessary services from the list which you don't even use.
Another nice way to reduce excess CPU usage is to press ctrl+alt+del and going over to the Processes tab and there removing the unnecessary processes that are running and free up your CPU usage. But, I honestly don't know how to edit the kernel, so I guess you have more knowledge than me, and you already know what I have told you.
So if I have failed to understand the Q, plz let me know.

PS- Sorry but I really don't have any more info to give to you. I know how to use the Registry but finding the rt stuff in it in the right place... nah, I'm not that advanced. Why don't you take your Q to some technology related Forum on the web. Try searching in Google.
