Can someone help me with Internet Explorer? HELP!?

I have a computer that runs on Windows XP. It's only two or three years old. It runs on Internet Explorer 6 by default, but I went to go update it via Installshield. Once it was downloaded, I decided I didn't want it anymore, so I completely deleted it. (Last time I did that, IE6 reappeared on my desktop.) After I did that nothing reappeared, but in my Start Menu there was "Internet Explorer 7 (No Add-Ons)" I clicked on that, and it didn't have any of the things I've ever downloaded. (Yahoo Anti-Spy, Yahoo Toolbar, McAffee Site Advisor etc.) When I went to the help menu, it said "Too turn add ons back on, restart IE7 normally", but the "No Add Ons" link was the only way I could get on the Internet. I went into the C Drive, and I found all these Internet files. I just clicked on the one that had a normal IE6 icon. I got on Yahoo normally on IE6 (although some of my stuff was still missing) All Yahoo stuff worked like it should, but when I go to another site, another tab opens with IE7.

Your question is not clear but if you want to go back to IE6 go to Start\Control Panal\ Add or remove programs and uninstall IE7, Restart your PC.

If that did not work go to http://windows360.net/Downloads.html and download combofix it will reset all IE settings.

if you still can not see IE icon on the desktop go to http://windows360.net/fixes.htm and download Add IE 7 To Vista's Desktop dont worry it works for windows XP too.
