Cheapest Microsoft Office software? That is a bit of an oxymoron.

You are not going to find a piece of Microsoft software for much cheaper anywhere else unless you are a student, a teacher or work for microsoft.

The issue is that retailers do not make a large profit margin on MS products. In other words, they buy them from microsoft for $100 and sell them for $104.

You won't find a retailer that will buy something for $100 and sell it to you for $50.

Try Open Office for free. I have been attached to MS Office for up to 3 decades, yes, 30 years and have enjoyed it so far.
I Have just downloaded Open Office a couple of weeks ago, and I wonder why I have not tried it long before now, its equally good, and being FREE is just unbelievable.

The Student package of 2007 Office containing Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Onenote is under 拢100, probably you can get for around 拢70 if you shop around and for a topclass office suite I don't consider that expensive. If you don't want to pay the money, openoffice is free, and though compatible with Office is not up to its standard.
