I don't have an internet connection at home. How can I update my anti virus?

My anti virus is NOD 32. How can I update its database of virus signatures or whatever you call it by simply copying some file/s with the use of USB flash disk from other computer who has an internet connection and updated NOD32 antivirus.

I suspect that i have virus/es or worms on my computer due to removable storage hardware but it doesn.t recognize by my anti virus (NOD 32) because it is out dated.

Any recommendations?
thanks in advance.

Silly answers will be persecuted.

Yeah, but the viruses makes my computer slow still i need an updated antivirus.

Whether your computer is connected to the net or not makes no difference with regards to how you should treat the security of the system so ignore previous posts.

I know of several situations where people I know have been infected with Virus's and other malware, purely because their up-to-date anti-virus didn't detect it. One was using AVG, another was using McAfee and I don't remember what the other was using, but I do know that in one of those situations the little known Kaspersky anti-virus saved the day so just because you have an anti-virus on your system, it doesn't mean that the system is protected from all threats.
So basically, we have learned that copying a file from a "protected" system, doesn't instantly mean that the file will be clean. Sure, 99% of the time it most likely will but there's always a chance it wont be.

Now, in terms of ease, I would suggest installing AVG on the machine in question. It's free and easy to get updates for whether connected to the internet or not.
Once that is done, you can download the updates from the AVG website, pop them on the USB flash drive, and on the computer with AVG installed on, tell it to check for updates. It will ask whether you would like to check online or install from a local file (not sure exactly what that option is called. Something like Check a folder or something if I remember correctly).
Then you simply point the program to the location of the update you downloaded from the AVG website and bingo, it will update.

if you don't have internet you dont need antivirus as the viruses or hackers cant get to you without a way to get there. currently you dont have to worry about it

If you are not exposed to the internet then there is no virus threat, and you don't need antivirus at all.

This is probably one of the more interesting situations I've seen in a while.

If the machines that are connected to the internet have anti-virus on them, than you have very little to worry about. Most anti-virus programs will scan the computer before you put them on the flash drive (usually as soon as you get them).

As long as the other machines have anti-virus that is kept up to day, it is very unlikely that a virus piggybacked it's way onto that computer.
