is command prompt like the older times where you type in commands for the computer to do things where they do have like desktops for the screen? sort of. it isnt just some anchient program left in your computer. Command prompt is a very useful tool for checking your internet connectiong (ping google.com) or for changing your pass, creating accounts, even shutting down programs running or the computer. it just takes some knowledge of basic commands. you can look up batch files and all those do are run in command prompt. no command prompt is not like the older times. Yes, the command promt is part of DOS(disk operating system) and was the operating system of choice before Windows, also Windows 95,98, and ME were based on DOS. type in /:c or whatever then help |
