I am looking to download MP3 songs (mainly classic rock) and have been "shopping" for a service?

Now, What would be the best bang for my buck? a program which gives me so many downloads for a flat rate or like on Launchcast you can down load as much as you want you just get charged per song?

And what about all the free sites? I really don't like the idea of getting the music without giving the artist their due. The whole reason I want to download the music because I like the music and appreciate the artist efforts, so I don't think that's for me. I guess I feel it's like if one day my boss were to stop paying me, yet expect me to continue working because they liked my work.

Please don't be too critical of my views, I'm new to all of this downloading. I have only just recently got a burner and I have been scared to use it because I don't know proper etique for downloads

I use iTunes and have rarely searched for a song that was not there. i would suggest burning the songs to a disk right away though, just in case of a system failure. Also, by burning the music to a disk you can rip the songs as MP3s.

I would go with I-tunes if you don't feel comfortable with not paying for songs. You can buy whole albums or just individual songs. Otherwise I would recommend limewire.

Try www.emusic.com

You can choose several services. You can choose to pay per song, or you can also choose to pay monthly for a certain amount of downloads. They have different packages. For example, you can get 50 downloads a month for $9.99, and they go up from there. It's listed on the website, which is really helpful.

Hope this helps!!!
