Having the same knowledge of mac os as i do windows?

I know a lot about windows, but i am pissed off with it and have ordered a macbook (2.4ghz, 2gb ram and 160gb hd), I know a good bit about windows just by using it over the years, can i gain the same knowledge of mac os x as i did windows?

I had Windows all my life until last year I ordered my first mac. I LOVEEE it so much and haven't had any problems with it. I'm still learning all the little details, but I think I will be able to have the same knowledge about macs that I do with windows.

I dont see why not, Macs and Windows machine while similar in some aspects stil lhave major differences that you will have to get used to.

Find out whether you can cancel the order. I am sorry that you chose Mac to be a better option to Windows.

Yeah, I have iMac G5. OS X is very easy to operate. the only difference is you leave it alone. There is no need for defragmenting, file cleaning, etc. OS X does all that for you.

No the knowledge you gain from a Mac will by based on a logical way of doing things. This will probably require some getting used to coming from windows.

agree with Jackie. I got a Mac 3 months ago. Enjoying learning about it. Finding it interesting. Not much between them . Windows explorer is definitely better way of seeing your files. Apart from that really like it. Wouldn't agree with the usual comment that "Mac is more instinctive'.

It seems to work better re networks.
