The Langauge of this installation is not supported by your system - Office 2007 error on Vista?

I have Windows Vista, (english US keyboard/english UK language), and I have a 1.5gb RAM and more than enough giggage for this bugger to be working. I'm not a computer whizz. There is no reason why it should not work, as I thought languages on these things were neutral. I've searched on google to no avail. Loads of people want to uninstall this and they can't with the same message. I literally rebooted my computer - from scratch. it took me all day to back up. i've messed around with regional settings. i've even done a rain dance, but nothing. I have no idea how to fix this.

I bought the product in Thailand as I live in Thailand and my OS is in English as far as I know, but I've even tried to install the product in via a Thai language pack.

I do not want to uninstall it, and if this is the case, i've just wasted quite a lot of money on freaking Office 2007 AND uninstalled my previous version, so I've not been able to work for several days.

I realise I wasn't clear before, but I don't know about operating systems. There are loads of people with XP on the web with this same problem, and there must be a solution. I'd get my partner to do it, but he's away, and to be honest, I don't see why people even bother paying for software that doesn't work, when you could get a dodgy copy for half the price. I even tried ringing microsoft and it was all just totally not user friendly. I miss word and excel!

Evidently the language of your Office installation is not one that your installation of Vista supports. Language isn't "neutral" - the operating system has to support the language of the program.
