Is there a way to copy a software from someone computer without having the original disk?

I have windows vista on one of the computers in the house.I wanna put vista on my sisters computer too.The problem is that my computer came with vista and I have no disk to do so.Is there a way to copy the files and put it on a disk so that I can install it in my sisters computer?

No. You cant just copy the operating system and transfer it over. You will need the CD to install it. And if you do buy a CD and install it, only she will be able to use it. You cant have the same CD with the cd key on 2 different computers. (well you can, but one wont work).

Can't be done. It is impossible to copy an entire program from one computer to another. To install Vista on another machine you will need a Vista installation DVD.

Yes it's possible and can be done, download Acronis Suite and select copy the C:\ Drive to an external drive....aka portable media drive.

if you had the EXACT same hardware configuration, you could make an exact duplicate of the computer image using a program called Ghost... it would essentially make the other computer a clone of the first computer.. that's the only way I know of to make a copy of an OS if you don't have the original disk.. of course that would be illegal, so you shouldn't do it..

"Acronis True Image" or similar is one of the options that WILL copy all the files. The question is now about the copyright. You should know that it is going to be not legal unless it is a corporate version which I doubt.
