Why do I have to purchase Adobe? Anyone know?

I was given a sony laptop for christmas and a pop up to buy Adobe keeps popping up. I never had that problem with other computers and I never had to purchase it. Does anyone know why this is happening?
OH! and I have Windows Vista if that makes a difference.

It's probably because your laptop came with a software trial, which has expired. You can simply un-install the offending application.

adode has reader, flash and a few other apps for free u might want to keep some just a thought
