Speeding up windows processing.? |
I am in a work situation where I frequently do a series of repetative tasks. If I am in MS Excel then I can use Macros to do those tasks and that saves hours. But when I am in the Windows environment it would be nice to have a similar speedy process. I am aware of the use of VB but that is only from within MS office applications. There is no GUI which allows for VB script being used from outside that environment such as loading and saving files in Explorer or outlook! Visual basic was designed by Microsoft for exactly this reason. You might have it installed: some VB Scripts for that sort of thing are included on the installation disk for Office, but most people don't ever find them. I'm sure Windows used to have macros too, dunno if it still does. |
