Would it be valid to transfer this Windows XP license to a new computer? |
I have a retail boxed copy of Windows XP that I installed and activated successfully on my main PC about 3.5 years ago. Its motherboard died a week ago, and I just bought a new computer. If I called the MS activation line and explained the situation, would they allow the transfer to the new computer? One other thing, the Windows XP boxed copy is an upgrade version, and I own a copy of Windows 98SE that qualifies for the upgrade. Yes, as long as you have removed the installation from your old computer (a dead motherboard qualifies that) then you can use that same copy on a new system. Simply load the software into the new computer and input the license number. I have done this on multiple computers with no problems. |

You need to convert your music to .wav or .mp3 and then you may edit directly in Audacity.
