When your typing on Microsoft Word...?

Have you ever typed something on Microsoft word on a PC, and forgot to type a letter or a word in, and you go back to insert that word or letter or space, or puntuation mark and it deletes the letters infront of it?

Whenever I'm on a PC it just randomly does this. And I din't even press insert, but when I'm on my superior Mac, it never does this.

Does this ever happen to you?

No, and I've been using Microsoft Word as long as it's been in existence. I've taught it. I've used WordPerfect. And never have I had a word processing program just start inserting and deleting on its own. You are pressing the insert key without being aware of it. I caught myself doing that on my old keyboard - the insert key was right beside the backspace. So, since I never look at the keyboard when I'm typing, I was banging away on the backspace and about half the time I was hitting the insert key. I had some really weird looking typing, for sure!

You've hit the insert key. Press it again (usually just near the home, page-up, delete, end and page down keys) and it should fix :)

This confused me for ages when I was younger!
If it's not that then I have no idea what the craic is.
