How do I create a hidden partition in Windows XP?

I want to create a hidden partition on my XP box. I have unallocated space, and want to create a partition and have it be hidden. I dont want to just remove the drive letter, I want the partition type to be a hidden type. How do I do this? I am familiar with diskpart if there is a way to set the type there.

download from the internet a program named "hirens boot". there you have a couple of programs that are used to hide your partition. it is recomended to copy hirens boot on a disk. As you open this program I think you will easally manage to start any partition manager.

try to use partition magic 8. it has an option to hide the partition

you see the " hide" portion under "index, draft, dulk, sent see hide") in which you can hide.SECONDLY as a partition SEE SPACE availbility in D drive,and open a seperate partition exclusively for your need.
