I was sending a fax with MS Word and Windows XP's Fax feature, when Word crashed. Did my fax actually send?

When you tell Word to send a fax, the fax manager loads up. While the fax was sending... the call was connected and the fax was already sending, Word had to close due to an error. The fax manager kept running, the call wasn't cut off, and then the fax manager said it sent OK.

I was thinking that by that point, the Fax application had already created its image of the original Word document and that it was sending it.

Is it all right to assume that the fax sent without any problems? It was a fax to a large company, and I don't have any direct contacts there, so it would be tough to call and ask if it made it.

Thanks M C. Not a bad idea at all. In fact, I just re-sent it. No big deal if they get two copies of it, right? :-)

You could just send it a second time and blame the computer. ;-)
